March Favourites 2015!

March and the rest of this year has flown by like a snap of your fingers. I can’t believe its April! I normally talk about my favourites of the month on the last Saturday of each month. However, I’ve had and still have a lot of work to finish. I was going ot leave it this month as all i have been needing is a laptop, notebook and the internet, but i have missed this blog way more than i should have. Its been a week maybe 2 since I last posted daily. So here goes my March favourites of 2015 are…

My number one favourite of this month has been the Now that’s what you call Disney  CD. When I have been writing and working, this album has been on replay in the background. It has been nice to just listen to of the old Disney Classics. I will admit that some songs had to be played numerous times in a row, because who doesn’t love the catchy beat of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (is that how you spell it?) and the soft sound of Beauty and the Beast. If you haven’t already gathered I am a Disney nut. I will live by Disney for all my life and if I have children they will be brought up doing the same. This album had 3 CDs that are jam packed with all the best songs throughout all the Disney Films. A guilty pleasure is Kiss the Girl from The Little Mermaid and I Won’t Say I’m in Love from Hercules.

Another item I have been loving is How to Train your Dragon 2.  I loved the first film back when that came out and I wanted to see the second to see if it raised to the expectations i had after the first. However, I never got round to watching it, that was until it came on Sky Demand. I watched it, loved it and watched it again…twice. The sequels of films are NEVER as good as the first, bu this film was amazing. You didn’t need to watch the first one to be able to watch the second. It wouldn’t have confused and just made it better. When I was younger I read the How to Train Your Dragon book and it was the biggest and best book I had ever read. It was the one book that I stuck around and read and I am so glad I did. This is because the film met the books description incredibly. What can I say I love the film and the book!

They’re my March Favourites, there aren’t as many as usually but I’ve been busy and I haven’t had time to swoon and love other things during this month. Happy April!! And I hope to be back Daily Blogging Soon!!

REVIEW: Title by Meghan Trainor

Since I have been listening to this album non-stop for a good week, I thought I’d review it. All thoughts of the album are of my opinion. The album as a whole is a good album, like the songs don’t really have much meaning and the lyrics aren’t the best but you still find yourself listening and singing along. For instance, one song includes the lyric not looking at other boobies,  odd but you can’t help but listen to it. The standard addition of the able has a total of 11 songs.

1. The Best Part! The first song isn’t really a song it a 25 second clip of her singing a few sentences. At first I thought I’d been cheated out of a song that i’d paid for, and that it didn’t download properly. However, after googling the problem the album is meant to start like this! Honestly it was a confusing start to the album, but that 25 seconds did show how good Meghan’s voice really is.

2. All about that Bass! OMG, I am so sick of this song, it has been played so many times that I skip it every time it comes on. It is that song that you love at first but then you listen to it constantly until you hate it. This is where this song is at for me! I know your all about that bass you’ve told me 7 million times…

3. Dear Future Husband! This song is so catchy and out of all 11 songs it is the one that you remember and sing when you get of the car. It’s a good song that I found on her vevo channel before the album was released, so i had already fallen in love with before I listened to the rest of the album.

4. Close Your Eyes! Out of all the songs on her album this to me sounds like it has the most meaning. When you listen to it you hang on every word she is singing  because the lyrics tell you to be yourself and not to worry what everyone things of you. Cause you’re beautiful!

5. 3am! This song is a little like Dear Future Husband, it is catchy and leaves you wanting to listen to it again and again! Honestly, if this song was released with a music video I think it would become the next All about that bass, this is because it is catchy but you could easily hate it if you listen to it thousands of times over.

6. Like I’m gonna lose you! I love this song! A small reason is because John Legend is featured in it but listening to this song again just shows how beautiful John and Meghan’s voices work together. It is truly magical! I love the lyrics in this sound, they just give you goosebumps.

7. Bang Dem Sticks! This songs is basically for anyone who loves drummers. So this could be the drummer for 5SOS or The Vamps. Personally I never notice the drummers, well expect Harry Judd (McFly)! Anyway, the song itself isn’t one that I notice, its a good song but not the best of the album.

8. Walkashame! I LOVE THIS SONG! This song is definitely the best song out of the album. Yes it is pointless and hardly any meaning apart from doing the Walk of Shame. But it is fun and the one song that you can sing and dance along to. I always start the album from number 8.

9. Title! Finally the song that the album was named after! This song is a little like Walkashame,  it is fun and has a really catchy rhythm. When listening you basically think of two friends that subconsciously want to be more than friends. It is great to listen to when you want to smile!

10. What if I! The start of the song is my favourite, slow and steady! It is a song that makes you sway in your seat! For this song I don’t really listen to lyrics but the backing music that is used, it is lovely! This song is kind of like Marmite, you either love it or hate it?

11. Lips are Movin’! This song is the song that gets everyone onto the dance floor. It is catchy and meaningless but that’s the best ingredients for a party, dance song. It the song that when it comes on the radio you can’t help but start dancing in front of the mirror thinking you have ‘swag’.

When I downloaded the standard version I did go back and download the 4 extra songs that are found on the deluxe version. If I do say so myself Miss Trainor left some great songs that will more than likely be hardly listened to. However, overall the album is a good listener and would highly recommend it to anyone who loves cheesy pop music!

Taking a Trip down Music Memory Lane…

Today, from around 8:30am I’ve found myself on YouTube all day. I started the day listening to all the modern, just released songs such as Love Me Like You Do and Four Five Seconds, but as the day goes on I’ve found myself listening to some old classics that I grew up with on constant repeat! I’ve had some old Girls Aloud and Mcfly, but the one I’ve loved more and more as the day goes on is Busted! Yes Busted is back in my life with the whole album on repeat whilst I’m writing this. From What I go to School For to Who’s David, I just can’t get enough!

The music itself just brings back so many memories of me and my sister dancing in our bedroom pretending to be musical stars to siting in the back of the car with are old portable CD player that was the size of the CD itself. Music holds so many memories even a slight beat will take you back to somewhere you had all the memories! For instance, Busted’s Air Hostess takes me back to when I was around 9-10ish and I was   on a plane listening to that song, waiting to get to wherever I was going. Music is a magical thing!

The old music is always the best, even music that was out way before I was born has an influence because having older siblings means that I know and love songs that are 30-40 years old. Like old classics from ABBA, the Beatles and even Queen. My favourite song when I was around five was ABBA’s Dancing Queen  and I remember being so proud of myself whilst I danced around the Kitchen knowing every lyric as it played on the radio.

Memories are magical things and music is one of the things that helps you to remember the finer detail. I’m smiling writing this post because writing about the songs I used to love bring back the memories that will always be remembered by the music that played in the background! Everyone has that song that reminds you of so much, listen to it it’ll make you smile!
